Boston Bus Tours Provide the Perfect Way to See the City

Cited as the cultural hub of the Massachusetts region, Boston is a vibrant place brimming with a selection of exciting annual events and intriguing historical sites. Oozing with style, it is one of the oldest cities in the US and is also home to the country’s first ever subway system. Testimony to its popularity, a staggering 16 million people head there on holiday every year.

Often referred to as the city of neighbourhoods due to the fact it is divided into 21 distinct areas, Boston is renowned for its sumptuous seafood offerings and nearby beaches. It is also home to a superb selection of ornate theatres, such as the Boston Opera House and Citi Performing Arts Centre. As such, it presents a diverse range of performing art and contemporary classical music shows to enjoy.

Offering up the perfect way to see Boston in all its magnificent glory, there are also many bus tours to take advantage of. Indeed, ranging from inner-city tours to trips of the city’s surrounding areas, there is a wealth of sightseeing opportunities to discover, meaning you can really make the most of your holiday.

For example, to gain an insight into the city’s remarkable history, a tour of the main sights and landmarks around Boston is highly recommended. Ideal for catching a glimpse of both the old and contemporary sides of the city, many of the tours include a guide who will teach you about how the city grew from its modest beginnings in 1630 to become a flourishing economic and cultural centre within the US.

As well as visiting the main landmarks, it is also possible to take bus tours into the countryside towns surrounding Boston, like Cambridge, Lexington and Concord. What’s more, with many of the tours offering a hop-on, hop-off service, it is possible to further explore an area or attraction that catches your eye in your own time.

Another benefit to booking a bus tour is that you can often find packages that include boat trips or cruises as well. Therefore, you can enjoy all of the scenery that Boston has to offer, both from dry land and from water. The harbour cruises, many of which last for around 45 minutes, are particularly stunning.

In addition to soaking up the sights, the city is also home to a number of interesting museums and art galleries, as well as presenting a varied nightlife and shopping opportunities galore. Furthermore, there is an amazing array of restaurants and cafés to try out – the seafood is a definite must – as well as an abundance of relaxing Boston hotels to stay in. With so much to see and do, therefore, the city can be viewed as an ideal holiday destination.

Find great holiday accommodation in Noosa

Noosa region is one of the most popular travel destinations in Australia. Enjoying the Cooloola Safari is among one of the really cool things to experience while you are in the Sunshine Coast area. It consists of a guided tour of Sandy National Park located in the Noosa region, in an escort vehicle. However, you can get out of the vehicle and explore the nature during your forty-mile adventure on beaches and wilderness. It is a lovely experience to enjoy holidays in Noosa, but finding a suitable holiday accommodation is not an easy task.

Poor holiday accommodations can take out the fun and can ruin a vacation. If you go for a costly accommodation, then you are left with less money to spend on activities. If you go for a low cost accommodation, you may find yourself in a situation where you might not be able to get a good night’s sleep. Hence, your choice of holiday accommodations should be carefully considered while keeping certain things in mind, such as, the person you are traveling with, the time you are going to spend in your lodging, and of course, your budget.

If you have a low budget, you can get a hostel or cheap hotel. You should keep in mind that you always get what you pay for. While staying in a hostel, you may have to share your room with strangers. And, if you are traveling with a lot of valuables and your children, it is certainly not a good option.

If you have a high budget, you can take part in a lot of fun-filled activities, and you can go for a high quality resort hotel. These hotels offer multiple facilities like swimming pools, day care facilities and camps for kids. In these hotels, you can expect a better entertainment while staying within the hotel. The rooms are clean and offer a nice view. You would always love to stay at one of these hotels as they offer a great deal of satisfaction while making your vacations memorable.

Now leave all these accommodation related worries onto us. Take a Break, a leading travel and tours online portal, helps you find great deals on hoilday accommodation Noosa, so you can only enjoy without worrying about anything.

Richard Nicholson is a travel expert working with Take a Break. The portal provides detailed information on holiday accommodation in Noosa and other popular Australian destinations. For more information, please visit www.takeabreak.com.au.

Explore Bayswater – One Of The Most Cosmopolitan Districts In London With Great Pubs And Restaurants

Bayswater is in the City of Westminster and is located about a mile and a half west of Marble Arch. In the 17th century it was known as “Baynard’s Watering”, renowned for its excellent spring water, and it was later shortened to “Bayswater”.

Bayswater is a very cosmopolitan district with a large number of Americans, Arabs, Greeks, Chinese and Brazilians. It has a Greek Orthodox Cathedral at Moscow Road and a Brazilian Catholic Church by Queensway.

It is well known for its Georgian terraces with high ceilings. Properties in Bayswater are expensive and apartments are mainly sold as leasehold properties.

All the main activities are centred on Queenway, with lots of shops, restaurants and pubs along the busy thoroughfare.

Bayswater is perfectly placed for exploring Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens is across the Bayswater Raod. Diana, Princess of Wales, Memorial Playground  is about two minutes walk across Kensington Gardens, directly opposite Queensway Underground station (Central Line) and Kensington Palace is about three minutes walk further down.

Other attractions in Bayswater include:

* Whiteleys – created by William Whiteley in 1863, Whiteleys was the first department store in London. It was closed down in 1981. The current Whiteleys is an indoor village of shops, restaurants and cafes and a cinema.
* A popular and the only combined ice rink and bowling alley in London.
* It is an exceptionally good place to eat out with lots of Chinese, Italian, Indian, Arabic, Greek, Brazillian, Spanish and Japanese restaurants. The Chinese restaurants in Bayswater serve the best dim sum and roast ducks in London. If you enjoy Great British pub food head for Bayswater Arms at the corner of Queensway and Moscow Road.
* You can start your Diana Memorial Walk from Kensington Gardens by following the 90 plaques set in the ground along the route. This is a great sightseeing circular London Walk covering approximately 7 miles through 4 Royal Parks, 3 Palaces and two mansions.
* Artists and craftsmen display their masterpieces along the pavement on Bayswater Road outside Kensington Gardens on Sundays. Visitors just love to stroll along the pavement and appreciate the unique displays.
* A short distance west of Bayswater are fashionable Notting Hill and Holland Park. Portobello Road market, a well known open air market, is near Notting Hill Gate station (CentralLine)
* There is a casino next to Bayswater Underground station (Circle and District Lines)
* As this district is very popular with foreign visitors, there is a large concentration of bureau de change in the area.
* Bayswater is conveniently located for shopping in Oxford Street and theatres in the West End. The Royal Albert Hall is located on the other side of Kensington Gardens (about 15 minutes walk through the park).
* It has also the largest concentration of hotels in London and hotel prices are relatively cheaper than those located in the West End and Mayfair.

Visitors in London enjoy staying in Bayswater not only because it is close to the Royal Parks and Kensington Palace but also because it has so much to offer in terms of the cosmopolitan environment, a large variety of exotic cuisines and a good selection of affordable hotels in the area.

Sydney Harbour Cruise

Are you looking to enjoy yourself on a Sydney Harbour Cruise? If you look around for information, you’ll find that you can go on one such cruise for all of two hours! Apart from the feeling of luxury that the catamaran will give you, you can enjoy fine dining here, and you could tuck into a seafood lunch buffet too! This buffet combines fresh local fish with hot and cold fish dishes, salads, cheeses, a large spread of fruit and desserts.

And while you sunbathe on the deck, sip a cool drink from the bar inside and watch the familiar sights of Sydney Harbour including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Opera House and Fort Denison. And as you come to dinner time, eat a fabulous meal in the air-conditioned restaurant.

You could also choose to go cruising on a Sydney Harbour Cruise at sunset, one that takes you out on sea for an hour and a half. It begins at sunset and takes you past all the important sights of Sydney while you cruise into the dark. And while you are sailing, enjoy your chilled champagne, canapés and a two-course dinner that includes wine.

Can you ask for more? Of course, you can. You can choose to go on a short café cruise which takes you to the upper regions of the Middle Harbour and/or Sydney Harbour. Only if you do go on these cruises will you enjoy the most breathtaking sights of this majestic city. This cruise lasts for about 2½ hours and docks in the upper parts of Middle Harbour where you will find large waterfront homes, beaches, parks and marinas. You can also have a delightful and refreshing cup of afternoon tea while sailing.

Perhaps you’re taking this cruise just to chill or get away from a busy city life. In that case, take your Sydney Harbour Cruise slowly: sip wine all you like, soak in the sun and eat like a king. And yes, don’t forget tot explore the ship.

If you want to be pampered, you could have a facial, manicure or pedicure too. Or why not go to the spa for a while? But if you are romantic and with your partner or spouse, what could be better than a fine dining experience here? A romantic dinner for you with your favorite wine or champagne would be ideal.

On a Sydney Harbour Cruise, you will find many, many things to do, see and enjoy. Do what you like, enjoy all you can and soak in the atmosphere in the best way you can. After all, you’re on holiday. Enjoy!
